I've lived with and looked after animals in some shape or form all of my life! We've had Cats, Dogs, Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, Chickens, Horses, Chinchilla, various Reptiles, Harris Hawk, a rescued Jackdaw, Koi Karp and even Brown Trout! For a long time I've wanted to work with animals and now I am lucky enough to do so. Our very special rescue dog of 17 years Ted passed away in January and it reiterated to me just how lucky we are as owners to share the lives of our pets.
I would like to thank Ted and all the other animals out there past and present who have enriched our lives. It's good to support local animal charities and when I am able to, I always donate. There are so many animals without owners and one can only hope that they find their happy home soon. If you wish to donate, whether it be old pet beds, blankets, bowls, leads, old towels etc please let me know and I will gladly give them to a worthy local animal charity.
The PDSA (The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals) actively recommends owners to use the services of businesses registered with NarpsUK (National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers). As an active member I agree to adhere to their strict Code of Practice ensuring that all my customers and their pets are treated respectfully. I am fully insured, DBS checked and fully qualified in Pet First Aid. My further training will be progressing in the following months to include gaining a Diploma in Canine Behaviour and completing Part 2 of my Reiki Level 2 so I can practice this amazing healing therapy on animals big and small. If you wish to see any details of the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
These two cheeky chappies Clifford the Whippet and Puppy Oatie the Bedlington x Whippet were a joy to dog sit. Full of character and niknamed The Walnuts due to their beautiful colour, they are now officially Scottish due to their recent relocation to Glasgow.
Millie the Cockapoo
The most cuddly little dog you could ever meet. Millie enjoys swimming in rivers and paddling in the sea, playing fetch with her favourite tennis ball and running around like a lunatic with other dogs. We love walking, dog sitting and having lots of cuddles with Millie.
Frankie the Yorkie
Frankie is a rescue dog from a local animal charity. He is gradually becoming more confident day by day. Very human sociable, he loves to meet new people and is getting much better at socialising with other dogs. He likes to ride in the van, is very intelligent and loves his treats!
Laid back and cool, Wilbur is the third band member of The Walnuts. Happy curled up on the duvet during the day, his favorite time is the witching hour. Sociable when he wants to be, Wilbur loves to warm his whiskers in front of the woodburner if the other two haven't got there first!
